Come try Yoga Pod’s Pod Wall!

The Pod Wall is a state-of-the-art alignment-based system inspired by BKS Iyengar’s traditional rope wall. Iyengar is one of the founding fathers of therapeutic and restorative postural yoga. The Iyengar method focuses meticulously on alignment and meditates on form. This physical attention to detail improves bodily alignment, corrects posture, and focuses the mind.

The Pod Wall system replaces the traditional Iyengar ropes with beautifully designed, adjustable straps. The straps provide support to various parts of the body and take stress and strain off joints and any unstable or injured body parts. Pod Wall classes are ideal for both students new to yoga and experienced practitioners looking to enhance and refine their practice.

5 Reasons You Need to Experience the Pod Wall

  1. Discover a new and exciting way to practice
The Pod Wall brings a fresh perspective to your practice and allows for deeper understnading of backbends, forward bends, twists, and inversions.
  2. Reach new heights in your practice
The Pod Wall uses straps to safely support and traction your body. This support allows you stretch and strengthen your body in uniques ways. You’ll bring awareness to hard-to-reach places and safely access challenging postures.
  3. Reap the benefits of sustained postures
Since your body is tethered and supported by straps, you can safely hold postures for longer periods of time. Increased time in the pose allows you to refine alignment, soften tension, and meditate on your form and breath.
  4. Anchor your body and expand your movement
The supported nature of each posture stabilizes your body and allows you to find increased mobility and range of motion through your joints.
  5. You’ll be hooked!
The immediate results you will feel in a Pod Wall class will keep you coming back for more. The increased space in your body, particularly along your spine, will have you walking taller as you leave the studio!
